Wild River Night

If you’re in or can get yourself to Portland, OR next week, you could be in for a Wild River Night on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the KEEN Great Room (926 NW 13th #210, Portland). Doors open for appetizers at 5:30 p.m. This is a free event described by the sponsors as a a laid back evening of celebrating wild rivers with new and old friends; and, an opportunity to see the latest videos and presentations about river running and river conservation.

The full agenda for the evening (so full that it may go past 8:00 PM), includes:

  • The premier of a new film about Idaho’s Middle Fork of the Salmon River by Nate Herbeck of Sheer Madness Productions.
  • Presentation and new films by American Rivers on the Condit Dam removal on the White Salmon River and dam removals on the Elwha River in Washington State.
  • “Field Guide to American Rivers” presentation by author and photographer Tim Palmer.
